Soup, for when your gut needs it most

Raw food and salads can leave you bloated for hours when you have SIBO. Soup should be the easy answer: cooked, gentle and warming, it gives your digestion a rest while still feeding you properly. The hard part has always been finding recipes you can trust. Almost everything on the supermarket shelf starts with onion and garlic, cafe soups arrive with no ingredients list, and most recipes online assume a gut that can handle anything.

This cookbook exists to solve that. Fifty soups, developed and tested in my own kitchen, so the only decision left is which one you feel like eating.

Coded for your diet, whichever one you follow

Every recipe carries a mode from The SIBO Diet Protocol, so you can see at a glance whether it suits you today. Calm for when symptoms are at their worst. Balance as you widen the range of foods you tolerate. Expand for bringing back the ingredients you have been missing.

Because everyone’s practitioner works differently, each soup also shows if it is suitable for the SIBO Bi Phasic Diet, the SIBO Specific Food Guide, the Low FODMAP Diet and the Low Fermentation Diet.

What you get

  • 50 soup recipes: 6 foundation stocks, 16 vegetable, 10 chicken and poultry, 9 fish and seafood, and 9 meat soups
  • A diet code on every recipe, so nothing needs checking against a food list
  • Ingredient swap tips for the days something on the list does not agree with you, plus notes on making a soup lower FODMAP or gentler early in treatment
  • Restorative broths that are kind during a flare and ideal for easing back onto solid food after an elemental diet
  • A photograph and clear steps for every recipe, nothing fiddly or hard to source
  • 100% gluten free, with many dairy free, egg free, vegetarian and vegan options included
  • Written for cooks everywhere: metric and imperial weights, cups and spoons, grams and ounces, celsius and fahrenheit, and ingredients named with country variations in mind, so rocket is also arugula and eggplant is also aubergine

Who it is for

Anyone eating for SIBO, IMO or IBS who is tired of the same few safe meals. It works just as well if you are the one doing the cooking for someone else, and practitioners are welcome to recommend it to clients.

I’m loving your SIBO soups ebook. The chicken & pumpkin soup is a big hit with the family, it’s my number 1 soup request. The Asian lamb soup and beef ramen are also delicious, with great feedback from my SIBO clients who have purchased a copy. Thank you, as this makes treating SIBO so much easier.

I recently purchased this book because I have a friend who needs to follow a SIBO diet. A group of us gather once a month, and I prepare our meal. So, I am trying to find SIBO vegetarian options we would all enjoy.
In looking through this cookbook, I was overjoyed at the variety, depth and flavor offered; recipe after recipe after recipe. I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.

Living in Western Canada, we experience very long and VERY cold winters. Soup is definitely one of my staples.
But having SIBO makes it nearly impossible to purchase store-bought soups and making my own stocks and soups seemed like a big hassle.
However, when Rebecca put out the call for recipe testers for her new soup cookbook, I jumped at the chance!
You see, I have ALL of Rebecca’s cookbooks and her recipes are not only mouth-wateringly delicious, they are simple and easy to make.
In fact, without her, I don’t know if I would have been able to survive the Bi-Phasic Diet (no joke)!
As a self-proclaimed foodie, I was mourning the loss of many of my favourite foods but Rebecca came to the rescue with SIBO-safe versions of all my comfort food faves.
Now, I have many hearty and satisfying soups that I can add to that list and it almost makes me look forward to winter (almost). 😉
My freezer is now stocked and I couldn’t be happier.
Thank you again Rebecca for your creative genius in the kitchen and your continued dedication to helping out your fellow SIBO brothers and sisters.

Finally a soup book for those of us who do better with warm foods. Salads don’t sit well with me and so this is a life-saver for lunches…Plus super easy to prepare and freeze for the quick lunch when there is no time. I have loved all the recipes I have tried so far. Thank you Rebecca!

These soups do not disappoint – so easy to make from simple everyday ingredients, they smell divine and taste delicious! Any ingredient you can’t tolerate or don’t have to hand can be easily swapped for another. In fact, Rebecca herself gives tips on how to make some soups lower in FODMAPS or easier to digest in early stages of SIBO treatment. I can see me making some of our favourites over and over again – yes, they taste that good! Great recipes for varying a SIBO friendly diet – much needed and really helpful!
